Welcome to our website.

Our school motto is “kia u ki te pai” which is all about upholding that which is good. It is a philosophy that we work to adhere to and one that is central to everything we do.

Kawakawa Primary School is the largest primary school in the southern Bay of Islands.

We have mainstream as well as bilingual classes and a class for students with special learning and behavioural needs.

We value outdoor education and all teachers are expected to take their students on overnight camps as part of this commitment.

Student achievement is paramount to us and we will provide you with feedback on how your child is progressing regularly.
