NDHB Vision and Hearing Test

As part of routine health checks provided by Health NZ, vision and hearing screening is offered to school-aged children. These tests help pick up any early issues with eyesight or hearing that might affect your child’s learning, development, or wellbeing at school.

If anything is picked up during the screening, you’ll be contacted and referred for follow-up support if needed.

These checks are a helpful way to ensure your child has the best chance to thrive in the classroom.
