JUMPING JUNE PĀNUI #1
1 Jun 2026

Tēnā koutou e te whānau

We are launching our JUMPING JUNE kaupapa at kura tomorrow which means you can set up your profile pages and start fundraising today. This is the 3rd year that Kawakawa Primary School has participated in this kaupapa. In 2024, we raised $8000 for the NZ Heart Foundation. In 2025, we raised $5000. This year, we are aiming for $10000!!!!!

This kaupapa is about creating awareness around heart disease and helping raise funds for the NZ Heart Foundation. We have all been affected by the impacts of heart disease. We all know someone with heart problems or someone who has passed away of a heart attack, so let's all get behind our tamariki and whānau to support the kaupapa.

Our big event day is on Tuesday the 30th of June which is where we will be skipping non-stop from 9:45am-2:45pm. Whānau and community members are invited to take part in the skipping and join us to create a positive atmosphere by encouraging each other to skip for the cause but also motivate one another to be active and healthy in our day to day lives. There will also be spot prizes up for grabs on the day.

There will be prizes for the individual who raises the most money at our kura. The option to select your class on the website is an error on the administrators end, the NZ Heart Foundation has asked for it to be removed.

Here is the link so that you can sign up today: https://www.jumpingjune.org.nz/register/kawakawa-primary-school/defaultregistrationform

Kia kaha tātou ki te tautoko i te kaupapa! If you have any pātai, feel free to ask our lovely office ladies or your kaiako.
