Teacher - New Entrant - Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/07/2026, End Date: 02/07/2027 (Maternity Leave)

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Kawakawa Primary School invites applicants for a fixed-term maternity leave teaching position in our new entrant class, beginning at the start of Term 3, 2026 and concluding at the end of Term 2, 2027. 

The successful applicant will:

Be a New Zealand registered teacher, or hold the appropriate registration/authority to teach in Aotearoa New Zealand

Be keen to learn, or already have knowledge of the Better Start Literacy and Numicon approaches.

Be a strong team player who contributes positively to our kura culture and collaboration.

Support the special character of our kura and our motto, Kia ū ki te pai - Uphold all that is good.
