Attendance Management Plan
Kawakawa Primary School is committed to supporting regular and punctual attendance, recognising that being at school consistently is essential for student learning, wellbeing and success. Our Attendance Management Plan follows Ministry of Education requirements and the Stepped Attendance Response (STAR) framework, with a focus on early identification and removal of barriers to attendance. The school works collaboratively with ākonga, whānau, staff and external agencies to provide culturally responsive, practical support, monitor attendance and respond when concerns arise. Our goal is to increase regular attendance while ensuring every student is supported to be present, engaged and able to access their right to education.
